This one is my favourite from the series. I like the muted color. Very bold and daring self-portrait.

Wow wow and wo, how did I miss these shots? I am soo impressed. Darn, this is a really good portrait for one, then the edits take it to that next step. You earn 2 coveted “I likey” “I Likey” from the Subsetr for this and the 1st image. Why not the 2nd one I hear you ask? Not really feeling the conversation to monochrome on thaT ONE. There are too many blown out areas around the T zone. However the other 2 are soo spot on for me.
An idea, have you tried G blur on any of the edits?

yes, the 2nd has that, I did g blur in overlay, that made it look really good but upped the highlights a lot. I like how they all turned out in different ways, it was fun to do.

I opened this the other day. I liked it so much that I tried the steps you mentioned, I am photoshop challenged just so you know, but apparently I forgot to leave a comment.
This is beautiful, really beautiful.

LOL…I just woke up after 4 hours sleep, and I realized that this isn’t the same shot as the other day…lol I am really out of it today. Still lovely, and I still think I forgot to comment on the one from Friday, which is the better one, I think, but I am a redhead and you can see that you are also in the shot from Friday. I am partial to redheads.

So far I like the first the best… Everything on the first was perfect. …The viewer was drawn right into those beautiful eyes. :-)

They are all good, but Id say the monochrome wins for me. This one is good, I hesitate to say better than the first, because the colouring adds a lot to the portrait.

I’m not sure if I prefer the black and white one or this one… THis one is very beautiful but I think it seems a bit too retouched - the black and white is much more subtle and moving in my opinion. It’s amazing how they all have such different atmospheres - I really like it.

I like the effect on this one. But I think you could probably dial it back a bit on your lips. Otherwise, this looks really cool.
